Take a Veteran to School Day Nov. 10th,
Alden High School Social Studies Department is sponsoring our annual “Take a Veteran to School Day.” The objective of the day is to honor the service of our local veterans and to recognize that many veterans live right here in the Alden School District. They will be having an assembly for students on November 10th to recognize these veterans and to provide students with an opportunity to learn their stories.
The students of Alden High School were asked to invite family members, who are veterans or active service members, to attend our “Assembly of Appreciation” for their service, dedication and sacrifice to our country. At the assembly, these local veterans will be recognized for their service.
The Social Studies Department at Alden High School invites any veteran or active serviceman/woman to join them on Thursday, November 10, 2015. The assembly will begin around 9 am in the High School Auditorium. If you are interested in attending, or have any questions, call/email Mrs. Jamie Williams.
