The World Wars of the twentieth century had a profound impact on the citizens remaining at home as well as those serving in the military. This year’s historical fair theme was “World War I and World War II in Our Town”, and our display focused on the three most common means of communication – letters, newspapers and radio, during the World War II years. A special sign was painted to present our Society’s “Waiting for Word” theme.
