Adam Zyglis won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for a distinguished cartoon or portfolio of cartoons, characterized by originality, editorial effectiveness, quality of drawing and pictorial effect, published as a still drawing, animation or both.
Zyglis, an Editorial Cartoonist with The Buffalo News, “uses strong images to connect with readers while conveying layers of meaning in a few words”.
The Pulitzer Prize has been honoring excellence in journalism and the arts since 1917.
He is an 2000 graduate of Alden High School.
