Across New York State, May 19 was School Board Election Day and the Annual Budget Vote. All five propositions on Alden Central School Districts ballot passed with high numbers.

Proposition 1, in regards to the 2015-16 school budget of $33,512,705 at a 0% tax levy passed 694-235. Proposition 2, for the Purchase of buses, passed at 704-222. Proposition 3, for the establishment of a new Capital Reserve Fund for buses and other equipment, passed 691-236. Proposition 4, for the purchase of new Building and Grounds Equipment passed 719-209.
