Beloved husband of Ellen Gerhart; dear father of Albert and Jeffrey (Caitlin) Gerhart; step-father of Stephanie Abt and Melissa Abt; grandfather of Margaret, Fiona, Genevieve and Elleanor; brother of Lynn (Ron) Piotrowski; son of the late Albert and Margaret Gerhart; son-in-law of Nelson and the late Helen Stephan; also survived by nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John’s RC Church Alden, NY Monday at 10 AM. (please assemble at church). Family will be present at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home 13228 Broadway Alden, NY Saturday 6-8 PM and Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Flowers gratefully declined.
