ForestLawn 045

Pictured below are the Girl Scouts from Cadette Troops 1902 and 876, along with some Cub Scout siblings from Pack 160 who visited the beautiful and historical Forest Lawn Cemetery in Buffalo.

The scouts were guided through the cemetery to visit some of the most popular and historical “residents”. Along the way, they were greeted by an “apparition” of President Millard Fillmore.

He told the group his life story and how he came to rest at Forest Lawn. The group also enjoyed visiting the gorgeous Blocher Monument and the impressive Memorials to Volunteer Firemen and Red Jacket, among many others. It was interesting to learn about the different styles of monuments, and how they are beautiful tributes to loved ones who have passed away.
