The Kiwanis Club of Alden will be hosting their annual steak outing at the Kiwanis Shelter in the Town park on Wed., July 27th from 5-10 pm. This year marks the 50th anniversary for this yearly fundraiser.
Who remembers past events held at the steak outings, that included prizes for egg tossing, throwing steel darts in a circle, hammering a nail in wood, and playing various card games.
The Alden Kiwanis Club is marking the anniversary with a special gift and prizes. A unique Kiwanis Logo commemorative mug with the date will be given out free to the first 300 people attending. In addition, a special ladies necklace, donated by Orlando Jewelers, will be raffled off. There will a be a $100 door prize and countless gift baskets and prizes raffled off. This is all in addition to the clams, shrimp, sweet corn, snacks, drinks and the steak that you get with your ticket.
Plan to join the Alden Kiwanis at this special event of the summer. Proceeds benefit the Kiwanis Club’s local youth and community activities, like the Annual Alden Easter Egg Hunt, tickets are available at Kotas and Kotas, Alden Advertiser and Kiwanis members.
