While trees were being cut down on West Main Street by Tree Care of New York, four significant sized honey bee nests were disturbed inside two trees.

Bee keeper Tammi Meidenbauer was contacted in regards to the situation. She came to Alden to scoop up the bees. A Sugar Maple had 2 nests and a Chestnut tree had 2 nests. Tammi was able to remove the bees from three of the nests. The fourth nest was delivered to her by Tree Care while still in a portion of the tree.
